Lassi's are traditional yogurt based drinks from India. They're so frothy and satisfying.
This recipe is a classic mango lassi and wait until you taste how creamy it is. It's a refreshing treat morning, noon or night!
CREAMY BANANA MANGO
LASSI
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup plain organic yogurt
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 ripe mango, cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Ice cubes
- 1/4 cup water
- Oats (optional if you want it to be thicker)
- Cinnamon for sprinkling on top
DIRECTIONS:
1. Place the yogurt in a bowl and whisk until frothy.
2. Add the banana, mango cubes, cardamom, ice cubes, and water to blender.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Spoon in the yogurt, mix and adjust consistency to your desired thickness. You may add a bit more water or a tablespoon of oats if too thin. The consistency will depend on how ripe is your fruit and your chosen yogurt.
5. Pour the lassi into serving glasses and serve chilled.
6. Decorate with cinnamon or even some crushed nuts.
