3 Simple Steps to Burn Stubborn Fat

When it comes to eating for weight loss, there are 3 simple rules you MUST follow…and they’re probably not what you think.

Never Skip a Meal

Never skip breakfast, lunch and dinner…and don’t forget the snacks between meals. This is the biggest misconception when it comes to losing weight. Most people think you need skip meals or go on some crazy fasting fad to lose weight.

The fact is you should never skip a meal because when you do, your body believes that it doesn’t have the proper calories and nutrition to convert into energy. As a result, your body switches modes and goes into a “survival” mode which slows your metabolism and stores extra fat to get you through the day.

Think about a fire for a minute. In order to keep a fire burning strong you have to give it fuel. And of course if the fire doesn’t get enough fuel it slowly dies down and burns out. Your metabolism is like a fire. By feeding your body regularly and routinely, your metabolism will increase and breakdown excess fat because your body doesn’t need it as an emergency source of energy.

Quality of Your Food

With the chemicals and processes of food today, vegetables don’t always contain the proper amount of nutrition that they should, and factory fed animals certainly don’t either. Be mindful of the quality of the foods that you eat. Choose grass-fed, lean meats, and fresh fruits and vegetables that have been naturally grown. The quality of the foods you eat will enhance the nutrition your body receives. And getting the proper nutrients is critical to achieving your weight loss goals.

Eat Your Veggies

It’s critical to your health and weight loss that you eat a sufficient amount of fruits and vegetables each day. A healthy, nutritious diet should contain at least five servings of each, daily. As a result, you will be eating a diet that is rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and as a bonus, low in calories. Incorporate fruits and veggies into your meals to ensure that you are providing your health and body with the nutrients you need. Fruits are perfect for snacks and vegetables are ideal as a side dish for any meal.

One quick way to get a healthy dose of fruits and vegetables every day is in green drinks. In fact, my day doesn’t begin until I have my green drink. And I usually make enough in the morning to save some for an afternoon snack, which means I’m getting more than enough of my daily supply of fruits and vegetables. And Mom never said you couldn’t drink your veggies!
